person will be involved in the design and monitoring of earthworks, urban and rural
hydrology, roading and services and be able to provide appropriate service to clients and

large projects provides opportunities to gain valuable skills and experience quickly at
all levels of a project, on sites from central Blenheim to all corners of the Marlborough
Sounds plus as far south as Kaikoura and beyond. Graduates are
much more directly involved in taking design and implementation
responsibility for projects than that which tends to occur in
larger centres and receive an excellent grounding for the future
of their career. Graduates also receive full support for
professional development and subsequent progression to Chartered
Engineer status generally within 4 years. The projects are
varied and challenging and there is significant scope for
technical and professional development.

From time to time there are positions available for junior through to senior engineering
technicians/CAD draughtspersons in the civil and structural fields. In general these
involve fieldwork, preparation of drawings, basic design, scheduling and possibly contract
supervision. Applicants for a senior or intermediate position will have had training and
experience with AutoCad or similar. For a junior position, some experience would be
advantageous although training will be provided to those willing to learn and advance. The
projects are varied and challenging.
